SATURDAY - MAY 17th - Clave Gringa - Cuban Jazz
North City Bistro and Wine Shop
Let’s go to CUBA! Clave Gringa brings their unique Cuban jazz rooted in traditional Cuban styles to North City Bistro with two horns (maestro Mike Mines on trumpet and Nathaniel Schleimer on tenor sax and flute), phenomenal percussionist Willie Garza, bassist Andy Zadrozny, and the leader, pianist and vocalist Ann Reynolds. The band will take you on a journey through Cuban music from the classically oriented danzon and cha-cha-cha styles to the African folkloric sounds and rumba. You won’t be able to sit still! Clave Gringa plays Cuban jazz originals composed by the leader, pianist Ann Reynolds, and Cuban standards that capture the joy and love of Cuba.
Please note: Ticket prices go directly to the talented musicians performing. There is also a $20 per person food and beverage minimum during ticketed shows—this helps us support our amazing staff and continue bringing incredible live music to the Bistro.
