The good news is that the restaurant biz is starting to pick up, and we are Very Happy about that.To be honest though, with only 25% allowed inside, and bad weather outside, that only allows us to have 18 people, as our normal capacity is 75, so do the math. We really believe that as the weather improves, things will get better when we can have at least 50% in the (hopefully near) future. We will be slowly expanding the Indoor Dining menu, to incorporate some of the old favorite seafood dishes & deserts with house made Ice Cream. We took these off the “Take-out” menu, as they don’t travel well, but since we are starting to see more tables populated, we will bring the dishes back when the time is right. For now, we plan to re-add the Calamari Steak Fries, Steamed Manila Clams & Chocolate Lava Cake. Hopefully soon we can add the Seared Scallops & Scampi 🙂 The thing that has kept us above ground over the past year, however, has been the wine & spirits sales. And on that front, things have been Way down since the 1st of the year, so we are trying to figure out how to boost those sales. And I have an idea to accomplish 2 things. My idea is to offer a “Drinkers Dozen” on your next order, for anyone who has purchased 5 or more Quarantine cases, or cases of Feature Wines over the past year. So when you place your next order, I will throw in a Nice 13th “Bonus Bottle”. I had a couple new Feature Wines I was planning on offering this week, but they did Not show up yesterday, as planned, due to a distributor mix-up, so that will have to wait until next week. I have updated inventory levels below, however, and there are Still some Great Deals to be had 🙂 For Feature Wines or Spirits, to input your order, please follow these instructions to make things much easier. Now here is another Beautiful wine, and spectacular package from Michael David. They are on a roll, and have really stepped up their game. This Lodi Chardonnay could easily sell for around $25 to $30, but we can now sell it to you for $20 by the 6-pk or ___ Btls And if you buy a full of any mix of Michael David wines you get a rebate coupon worth $42, making you final cost Much Lower. What a Deal!!
Now here is another Stellar Wine at a Great Price. Conn Creek Anthology 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is availble online for between $50-$60, but we got a Great Deal and can offer it to you for a limited time for $32 by the 6-pk or ___ Btls
And here is a wine from Walla Walla, from Spring Valley. I had never seen this wine in the market previously, Derby Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 (Sharilee Petit Verdot is Gonzo), but had an offer from one of my suppliers that I couldn’t resist. This wine normally sell for around $60 but with the deal we got, we can sell it to you for $45 by the 6-pk or Derby Cab ___ Btls
And for something a bit different, but delicious, none-the-less, here is another one, but this time it is from Italy, and made by a Very good friend, and Amazing Winemaker, Lucio Gomiero, from Vignalta. This Brut Rose is made from a grape called Raboso Friularo, and drinks like a true Champagne Rose. ___ Btls
If you don’t take advantage of this feature, you don’t know what you are missing!!! And for the Deal of the Century, and something Incredibly Special, how about a Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon with some bottle age? I mean, some Real Bottle Age, but still drinking Incredibly, especially for the vintage which is 2000 (yes you read that right!). And for a Really Fun wine, how about some Petite Petit, which is a blend comprised of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petit Verdot, Petite Petit is a large, weighty, knock-your-socks-off type of wine! Showcasing aromas of dark fruit, raspberry and fig, this wine is layered with rich flavors of black cherry, cola and light oak on the palate. The first one is something we have been using at home for decades, and at the Bistro since we opened. It is made by my good friend Lucio Gomiero, Owner & Winemaker for Vignalta. This is a delicious Herbed Sea Salt, and will nicely enhance pretty much anything that you use it on. It comes in a 10.5 oz jar, and sells for $12. ___ Btls
And this is another Sweet Deal, on a bottle of Whistle Pig Maple Syrup, which has been aged in Rye Whisky Barrels. It is, of course, Great on Pancakes & Waffles, but I like to use it in my Whisky Sours & Old Fashions, to replace the Simple Syrup, and give it a little more of a Whisky Kick (sssshhh, it’s a secret 🙂 ___ Btls
