Passarim was founded in 2006 by guitarist Bill Dee and bassist Leo Raymundo, and is dedicated to recreating the classic ‘cool’ style of bossa nova as it was formed in Brazil in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Passarim’s recording of Carlos Lyra’s composition ‘Voce E Eu’ was featured on the Starbucks best-selling bossa nova compilation In A Bossa Nova Mood.
