Joan Penney and a fabulous band, welcome you into spring with a great line up of jazz standards and new arrangements. She will be featuring Brian Kirk on vibraphone and John Anderson on sax as they select from Duke Ellington’s compositions. She rounds the show out with some fresh soulful arrangements of 60’s and 70’s tunes with Hans Brehmer and Osama Afifi on bass.

I am excited to share this gig with you on March 19 at North City Bistro. We are featuring Brian Kirk on vibraphone and along with Jamael Nance and Osama Afifi, this rhythm section is going to bring the house down. Hans Brehmer will be on keys and vocals along with John Anderson on sax, will make you forget all about your troubles.
We will be featuring Duke Ellington tunes as well as some music from the late Michele Legrand and lyricist Marilyn Bergman. I will also perform some of my favorite arrangements
North City has an excellent menu, easy (free) parking, and a collection of spirits that will call your name! Proof of VACCINATION IS REQUIRED.
